Dr. Tuajuanda Jordan, President of St. Mary’s College of Maryland made the trip to Miami, the upcoming site of the US Sailing Olympic Trials. Recent graduate Leo Boucher will be competing in the ILCA7 class and Dr. Jordan was there to cheer him on.
Also supporting Leo is his former coach, Bill Ward. Director of Sailing and Varsity Sailing Coach at St. Mary’s, Bill will provide coaching services to Leo during the Trials. In 2008 Bill was named the U.S. Olympic Committee National Coach of the Year for Sailing by the U.S. Olympic Sailing Committee. That same year he coached Team USA at the Beijing Olympic Games.
Leo has just returned from competing in the ILCA7 World Championship in Adelaide, Australia.
