Annapolis Yacht Club Foundation Board Member Chip Carr recently visited Ronnie Simpson in Portland Maine. Ronnie is a recipient of a grant from AYCF to help with his mission to sail in the Global Solo Challenge starting Oct 28th, 2023. Approximately 50 boats and skippers are scheduled to race around the world non-stop.

Open 50 are currently in Maine Yacht Center finishing up a re-fit and bottom repair preparing for upcoming start from A Coruna, Spain. Ronnie is affiliated with US Patriot
