Three Box of Rain scholars were selected and provided grant funding to participate in the AYC three-week sailing camp. However, Adam and Micah were the only two that attended all three sessions. Every time I would talk to the boys [Micah and Adam], they would share all the new terminology, maneuvers, and lingo they learned while at sailing camp. They often mention the freedom they felt while being on the water and how cool it was to experience the bay in a totally different way than they were used to. This opportunity impacted the boys in such a way that they plan to sail in high school.
